About the Artist
Yvonne Phillips
Yvonne Phillips grew up in Germany and now lives in the USA. Her Oma taught her to draw when she was very small by telling her fairy tales in the kitchen, which Yvonne then sketched. She always loved to draw but never had any formal training. As an adult she moved to Canada and worked for many years as a make-up artist for film and television.
Only recently did she start drawing again and discovered a new medium: alcohol markers! She has since illustrated her first book and is currently working on two more. She is sure that art will always be in her life in one way or another.
